Jane Anne Becker, 72, April 29, 1952 - December 4, 2024 at Aldersgate CC Retirement Community, Charlotte, NC. Born in Warsaw, Indiana to Marvin W. and Bessilee (Kelly) Becker, both preceded her. Survived by two brothers William A Becker (Susan), Phoenix, AZ and Robert J Becker (Cathy), Mount Holly, NC; four nephews Thomas Becker (Joy), Joseph Becker, Ashton Brian Skye (Laura) and Andrew Becker; and grandniece and grandnephew Claire and Hamilton as well as many life long friends. She was affiliated with the St. Marks United Methodist Church in Flowood, MS and attended the Vespers Worship Services at Aldersgate. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Aldersgate. The body was taken to the Carolina Mortuary Service & Cremation in Charlotte, NC. Her obituary will be posted at www.carolinamortuary.com . Jane loved being active – golf, tennis, hiking, traveling, and volunteering. She volunteered with her church as well as Corn Ferry Golf Tour. She was President of the Ladies Golf Association at Castlewoods Country Club in Brandon, MS. In her travels, she went on safari in South Africa; toured the Holy Country; visited family in Scotland; and traveled with her church group within the US.
Jane retired in 2010 from BlueCross BlueShield of Mississippi as the Director of Technical Services and Security Administration. She started with BlueCross BlueShield in Indianapolis as an Actuary and moved up the ranks, opening their Mississippi office.
She graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1970 earning scholastic honors. She attended Indiana University Bloomington, IN, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business in 1974. While living in Indianapolis, she earned a Master of Science from Purdue University in 1983.
Jane leaves behind many life-long friends. What people loved about Jane was her beautiful smile and her honesty. She would always tell you her true thoughts. Jane was a cheerleader in junior and senior high school, the 1969 Homecoming Queen, and participated in team activities.
Jane loved her cats and ensured their continued care in her will. Jane loved her friends and family. We will all miss her…she passed away too young.
