Richard Usery

Richard “Rick” Alvin Usery, 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Atrium Hospital Cleveland, NC.
Rick was born in Gaston County and was the Son of Alvin Edward Usery and the late Sara Grant Usery. Rick was preceded in death by his Mother, Grandparents Jasper and Phoebe Grant, James Nap Usery, Carolyn Usery, Hessie Ruth Crawford, Uncle Melvin Grant, Cousins Randy Grant, Robin Vanderlip, Randy Usery, Susan Usery, Bill and Ruby Usery, Terry Usery.
Rick attended Ashbrook High School, Gaston College, and Cameo Beauty College. He served in the US Navy. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Lowell, NC.
Rick's love was Motorcycles, playing guitars, woodworking, gardening, canning, eating at Blacks BBQ and his beloved dogs Shelby and Otis.
Rick is survived by Father Alvin Edward Usery, Sister Pamela U McCarley; Nephews Marcus Usery (Alexis) and Jordan Paxton; Great Nephew and Niece Grant Alexander and Collins Grace; Aunt Joyce Grant; Cousins Rodney Grant, Jamie Usery, Timothy Usery, Rusty Usery, Jeff Usery, Mike Usery
Due to Covid Restrictions the family will not be receiving friends but will have a celebration of life at another time.
