Zachary Aidan Lavergne

Zachary Aidan Lavergne, 22, of Bessemer City, NC, passed away on April 23, 2025, at Caromont Regional Medical Center following a tragic vehicle accident on April 18th. He was born on November 26, 2002, in Gastonia. 

He is preceded in death by his grandmother Teresa Mabe and grandfather Paul Lavergne, Sr. Zack was blessed with a large and loving family and is survived by his mother and stepfather June & John Peeler, his father and stepmother Paul & Kathy Lavergne, his sister Alexis Bush, his grandparents John & Glinda Mabe and Dorothy Lavergne, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins. 

Zachary graduated from East Gaston High School in 2021. He proudly wore the number 54 on the Warriors football team and was a part of the Warriors wrestling team. Zack was an amazing, free spirited and energetic person who enjoyed all things pertaining to the outdoors, such as Country Music and Rock n Roll concerts, long drives, and all types of music. 

Zack never met a stranger and was well loved by all he met and left a lasting impression. Zachary took pride in being the life of the party at every event where family and friends were involved. He was always first to arrive and the last to leave. Zack ensured that everyone around him had a great time, including the numerous kids in his family. Zack will truly be missed by everyone he touched in his 22 years on earth. Zack gave the gift of life through Life Share of the Carolinas organ and tissue donation.

Zachary's family and friends will be celebrating his life at Tuckaseege Park 165 Broome Street in Mount Holly NC on May 1st from 4-6pm

The family request IN LIEU of flowers, Donations in Zachary's Memory can be given to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital ( wwwstjude.org ) or the Charity of your choice.
